Juniperus procumbens 'Green Mound'
The Green Mound Juniper is a slow and low growing and is often used as
a groundcover because of its height and cushion-like appearance. Its
needle-like leaves are a blue-green color sharp points in groups of
threes. Juniperus procumbens 'Green Mound' reaches 8 inches high and 6
feet wide at maturity.

Philodendron selloum
Philodendron selloum is from Brazil and is a large tree-like shrub. It
usually has a single, erect stem. The leaves reflect and can reach to
as much as 3 feet in length. The leaves are heavily lobed, dark green,
and glossy. Philodendron produces white flowers but they are somewhat
insignificant and the plant is mainly grown for its foliage. It prefers
shady conditions and will tolerate heavily shaded areas. This plant can
reach as much as 15 feet in height and width. Makes a great accent
plant for a tropical look.

Callistemon citrinus
Callistemon
citrinus - 'Little John' is a slow growing evergreen shrub
from Australia. The lanced shaped foliage
is blue-green with a fuzzy texture on the new growth. From spring to summer the
tips of the stiff branches are covered with flower terminals, these flowers have
long crimson colored stamens giving them that "bottlebrush" look, hence the
common name. The Dwarf Bottlebrush will top out at 3 feet tall with a 5 foot
spread, this compact size makes this shrub an ideal plant for small gardens.

Nerium oleander 'Hardy Red'
Nerium oleander 'Hardy Red' sports single red blossoms and dark green
leathery leaves. This Oleander can reach up to 6-12' in height and 10'
wide. Hardy Red is drought, heat, salt, wind, and pollution tolerant
and is often seen growing where other plants won't such as highway
medians. Oleander is also a great choice for sheared hedges as well as
for screening.

Camellia sasanqua 'Pink Lace'
The leaves of Sasanqua Camellias are much smaller and dense than the
Japanese Camellias, making for a smaller more compact shrub. Like the
Japanese Camellia Sasanqua Camellias need a moist acidic soil. The
Sasanqua Camellias will do well in sunny locations as well as shady
locations. The Pink Lace Camellia has a fragrant, cup shaped, light
pink flowers in autumn and early winter.

Jasminum mesnyi
The Primrose Jasmine is a tall, slender stemmed evergreen shrub. It has
dark green leaves and a square stem. The flowers are lemon-yellow and
unscented these are normally seen in the winter and spring. Sometimes
Primrose Jasmine acts like a climber with it wild branches and it can
grow up to 10 feet tall when planted near a support. Jasminum mesnyi
can grow in shade but looks best in a sunny location with a well
drained soil. Looks best when given adequate space, as it can get 2-3
times as wide as it is tall. This plant is a vigorous grower and may
need to be sheared occasionally to keep it from getting out of control.
Primrose Jasmine is a great plant for a cascading effect in the
landscape.

Sergant Camellia has single round red flowers in winter and early

Juniperus prostrata (horizontalis)
Creeping Juniper is low growing prostrate form of Juniper with
gray-green foliage. This Juniper is seen with many names, among them
Juniperus prostrata and Juniperus horizontalis. Prostrate Juniper can
get up to 12 inches in height and will spread as large as you let it.

Hesperaloe parvifolia
Red Yucca is a Texas Native Plant seen in the western portions of the
Edwards Plateau. Hesperaloe parvifolia is not a true Yucca although it
does look very similar to Yucca and can be used in the landscape in the
same ways. Red Yucca has thick sword shaped recurved gray-green
foliage. The plant itself only reach 2-3 feet in height but the bloom
can reach up to 5 feet in height. Red Yucca blooms starting spring and
keeps going until early fall. The flowers are more pink or salmon in
color, these are borne on tall spikes, are tubular in shape and do a
great job of attracting hummingbirds and butterflies into the garden.
