Siskiyou Pink Whirling Butterflies

Gaura lindheimeri is native to the Mexico-USA border area, it forms a clump and reaches up to 4 feet in height and 3 feet in width. Whirling Butterflies has a very long flowering period (from mid spring to autumn). 'Siskiyou Pink' is an improved variety from Siskiyou Nursery with a deeper pink colored flower, white stamens, and more compact growth habit. The toothed leaves are red tinged on slender stems with a spoon-shape or lance shape. This plant likes a well-drained soil and full sun, though it will tolerate some shade and drought conditions due to its deep tap root. But wait it also tolerates humidity, wow! Will bloom from early summer to fall and grow to a height of 30-36" tall and should be spaced at 24" apart.
